"Home Away From Home" was created to assist in enhancing and cultivating the lives of families who just need a helping hand to get back on track.
Our aim is to assist the families to be able to remain on track by working in conjunction with local shelters and Family Court. Our clients will be assessed medically, physically, mentally, emotionally, and psychologically. If the individuals are determined to be able to function under normal conditions and independently, the family will be referred to our organization, along with all of their contractual agreements from the agency or agencies they are currently working with. With this, we are able to provide the individuals with the necessary skills to obtain quality life with job placement and employment growth.
Our goal is to build a fully-secured building consisting of all the amenities of home, including a community room, laundry room, custodial service, groundskeeper, full industrious kitchen, computer room and more.
The facility will be able to accommodate ten families with a maximum of six family members each. The families will reside in individual studio-type apartments equipped with kitchenette, bathroom, and living area.
